SHRM New Orleans provides support and resources for a successful entry into the HR profession. We are here to help you develop career skills and enhance your understanding of Human Resources. 

Students and Emerging Professionals have networking as well as professional development opportunities by being a member of SHRM New Orleans. 

Companies interested in sponsoring an intern should contact collegerelations@nolashrm.org, attention Dr. Fran Norwood.  You will be asked to complete an application form.  Deadline to apply is Friday 2/20/26.

The program stipend is $1,500 (100 hours @ $15/hr). We have developed relationships with local colleges and universities in Orleans and Jefferson parishes so that students can participate in our internship program. Emerging Professionals may also participate in the internship program.
